Yosemite Chapter ICC Meeting Minutes February 3, 2006
Meeting called to order at 11:40 a.m. by Chapter President, Mike Ehret, County of San Joaquin.
Introductions –
GUESTS: None.
Self-introductions followed from the members. (29 in attendance).
Minutes –
The minutes from the December 2, 2005 meeting were reviewed, motioned, seconded and approved unanimously.
Correspondence –
Mark Ellis received a check in the amount of $825.00 from Precision Inspection for the January 21, 2006 Installation Banquet. The check was given to Greg Johnsen, Treasurer.
Treasurer’s Report –
Greg Johnsen, Precision Inspection reported: Checking account: $12,519.48 Savings balance of: $29,711.38 Petty Cash of: $ 101.00 Scholarship $ 1,227.24 For a total of: $43,559.10
Committee Reports –
Legislative: Committee Chair Greg Adams from Willdan distributed a handout regarding 2005 Legislation (five) currently in effect and of interest to building departments. He is also asking for volunteers to be on this committee.
Education: Committee Chair is Robert Keefe. Committee members are Mike Ehret, Lydia Clarey and Scott Wungluck. There are three Yosemite Chapter seminars scheduled so far for this year. The first one will be on April 12, 2006 (Wednesday) in Modesto: Introduction to Building Codes and Plans. We need help distributing the flyer to help increase attendance. Richard Graves will keep our website at http://www.yosemitechapter-icc.org updated for training opportunities.
CALBO Education Week will be July 17 – 20, 2006 in Modesto
Disaster Preparedness: Committee Chair is Greg Lamb. No update.
Scholarship: Committee Chair, Scott Wungluck reported that the committee has not received any applications. The deadline is March 1, 2006. The scholarship amount is $1,000, which will be split if there is more than one recipient.
CALBO: No update.
HCD: Doug Hensel will be at the Stockton meeting next month. No update.
CSLB: No update.
ICC: No update.
SPECIAL –
Awards: Greg Johnsen resigned. Richard Graves volunteered to resume Greg’s duties.
Nominations: Scott Wungluck thanked Precision Inspection, Pacific Plan Review and Willdan for their support and donations towards our Installation Banquet.
Golf Tournament: Al Silva brought up the idea of having the tournament on a weekday in order to have a reduced fee from the golf course. It would be too difficult to have good attendance as most members work during the week and work coverage would be issue. Al will try to arrange the golf tournament on a weekend during the month of June. We will have a picnic after the tournament in a nearby park. Greg from Willdan will handle sponsorships. Al is asking for volunteers for the raffle.

New Business –
Daryl Willey will be retiring in March from the City of Modesto..
Program –
Ken Shryock from the Department of Housing and Community Development (HDC) had a presentation regarding Manufactured Home Installation Inspections. Ken distributed copies of his PowerPoint presentation.

President Mike Ehret mentioned the CEU Certifications were available from at the sign-in table.
